We developed the Luft-Strom to eliminate that resistance. By expanding the bore to a massive 84mm, we’ve transformed the intake from a narrow passage into a high-velocity corridor. Luft-Strom Throttle Body FAQ

Do I need a wiring harness adapter?
Yes, the Luft-Strom uses a VDO-style connector, so you'll need a harness adapter. We offer our own plug-and-play harness to plug it into your factory harness.

Will this fit my stock intake?
It's built to OE specification for a bolt-on fit, but you'll need the correct coupler for your intake's throttle body opening, see our Billet Throttle Body Adapter if you need to mate it to the stock supercharger inlet.

Do I need a tune?
A larger throttle body changes airflow at the same throttle position, so we recommend having your tuner confirm your fueling and idle/drive-by-wire calibration after install.

Every so often someone assumes that because the Luft-Strom costs less than a genuine VDO unit, it must be a knockoff, a copy, or a "you get what you pay for" gamble. It's none of those. The Luft-Strom isn't reverse-engineered off anyone else's part; it's our own 84mm design, manufactured in an ISO 9001 facility and backed by the same 2-year warranty we put behind everything we build.
