Why clone my ECU instead of just removing the immobilizer?
Cloning preserves your original ECU's immobilizer, coding, and calibration data on the replacement unit, so your car keeps its factory identity and keeps working with your existing key(s) — no dealership programming needed. If you don't need to retain that identity, for example a dedicated standalone/off-road build, our Immobilizer Off Service may be simpler.
Do I need to send both ECUs?
Yes — we need your original ECU and the replacement unit to transfer the data between them.
Will my key still work after cloning?
Yes — cloning is designed to preserve compatibility with your existing key(s) and factory immobilizer pairing.
